Here are 6 ways to get involved:

We wouldn't be here without you.

1. Volunteer

Whether it's picking veggies at our gleaning days, gathering supplies for the Earth Friendly Holiday Event or serving as a Director on our Board, you can take action and help us protect the Cariboo Chilcotin, this gorgeous place we call home. Please contact our Program Coordinator for upcoming volunteer opportunities.

2. Become a Member

Memberships are important to us in two key ways: they are a reliable source of revenue to help us continue our work, and they give us strength in numbers. Purchasing a membership will give you a voice at our Annual General Meeting, so you can have a say in how we work for conservation in your community.

Membership Rates:

Individual $15.00

Couple $20.00

Senior/Student $5.00

Business $30.00

3. Make a Donation

If a membership isn't right for you, but you would still like to donate, we can accept e-transfers at coordinator@conservationsociety.ca. Please note that this account is set up for autodeposit so there is no need to create a password.

We can also accept cash or cheques addressed to the Cariboo Chilcotin Conservation Society. We are located at Unit 102, 197 2nd Ave North, Williams Lake, BC V2G 1Z5. Please note that we are not a registered charity, and therefore cannot issue tax receipts for donations.

Thank you so much for your gift to conservation!

4. Donate or Receive Gear

We run several seasonal programs aimed at reducing waste including Bikes 4 All, Skates 4 All, Mitten Matchmaking, as well as occasional clothing swaps. These programs are free of charge and open to all. If you'd like to learn more about how to participate in these cool Waste Wise initiatives, please give us a shout!

5. Attend an Event

We may be best known for partnering with several other local groups to hold the ever-popular Earth Friendly Holiday Event. But we also occasionally hold litter picks, free skates or swims for World Water Day, and workshops. Follow us on social media to stay up-do-date!

6. Get Outdoors

We have helped install two interpretive trails in our region: the Hydrology Trail at the Community Forest in Esler and the Earth (Re)Cycles Trail at Gavin Lake. You'll also find the wonderful Secwépemc Trail at Gavin Lake. We also publish an extensive Field Guide, helping you explore and enjoy the gorgeous Cariboo Chilcotin Coast with a lighter footprint.
